“Simplicity is complexity resolved” - Brâncusi

At the beginning of April I was lucky enough to squeeze in a brief trip to Paris and of course, I had to re-visit one of my favourite places - a workshop preserved and resonant with the spirit and energy of the maker.

Constantin Brâncusi is considered one of the most influential sculptors of the 20th century and a pioneer of modernism. The atelier is a rich treasure trove of work where the eye is drawn through and between the pieces and allows for a new perspective at every turn. The groupings of works feel important and deliberate, highlighting the importance of the connections between the works and the relationship to the space itself.
